Welcome to The Pines Tennis Club! 

The Pines Tennis Club is located on the corner of Goldstein Crescent and Norriss Street in Canberra's southern suburb of Chisholm. The Pines Tennis Club is a non-profit organisation run and managed by members as a community facility since 1986. The Pines Tennis Club owes its success to the involvement of its dedicated and enthusiastic members.

News:  01/10/21  The Pines Tennis Courts are open.

Court bookings are available for members and to the broader general public within COVID-19 restrictions.  Out of area to travel to the club is allowed. Unfortunately there is no access to the clubhouse and toilets.

Coaching with restrictions is available.

The club's committee intends to provide the safest possible environment for members and the general public. Please refer to the club's COVID-19 Safety Plan.  ACT Government and Tennis ACT requirements and recommendations for opening up tennis COVID-19 Community Tennis Guidelines have been implemented. Importantly this includes measures designed to limit interaction between people and groups.

Your support is requested in following these requirements.

  • The number of players per court is limited to a maximum of 4. This includes the hitting wall/kids zone. Only people playing should attend the club, no spectators are allowed.

  • Court bookings are limited to one hour only with a 15-minute gap between bookings. Please arrive just before your booking time and leave as soon as your booking is completed.

  • The Check in CBR app must be used to register your attendance on arrival.

 

  • Masks must be worn upon arrival and at all times, unless you are undertaking rigorous activity.  You may only take them off out on the court.

  • Sanitiser for hands must be used

    • at the front gate when using the pin pad and opening the gate

    • before and after your games

 

  • Bring your own drink bottle

 

  • The clubhouse is closed and unfortunately toilet access is not possible. The booking pin will not open the clubhouse door.

 

  • Organised tennis is not allowed.

 

While you are able to play with a total of 4 participants, it is strongly recommended that you stick with the same group of people for each session.  Please do not change doubles partners for your sessions and play with the same group of people.

Before you play - you must stay at home if you:

  • Have been in contact with someone with COVID-19, been overseas or been to an exposure site in the last 14 days

  • Have flu-like symptoms

  • Are under Stay-at-Home orders, or are in quarantine

  • Or are in a high-risk health category

It is very exciting for the club to be awarded "Most outstanding tennis club 2021" and for our head coach to be awarded "Coaching excellence club 2021".
